More Engagements

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot Steven & Kimberly's engagement photographs. As you can see it went quite well.

Engagement shoots are a great way to get to know your photographer and get a taste of what the wedding day photography will be like.

Steven and Kimberly are like Strawberry Jam and Peanut Butter. They're just a perfect combination together. Can't wait to shoot their wedding in November.

I didn't know they would be so willing to get a little wet during the beach shots. Steven and Kimberly jumped half way in the ocean. Almost couldn't get them out and it was a cold day. Love it! Thanks for being so fun.

Bill & Sharon's Engagement Shoot

We had a great shoot in the South Bay. Bill & Sharon were the nicest couple and we had a fun time shooting around Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach.

They wanted professional engagement photographs that they could showcase to their family and friends at their wedding in July. They chose our Engagement book that comes with designed pages using their chosen photographs of their session.

It didn't take long for them to relax and enjoy the session. They were naturals. We had a lot of fun and hope we can photograph them again in the near future.

Kent & Michelle's Wedding

Another great day! Michelle was gorgeous and

I couldn't have shot a more beautiful bride.

Kent was like Clark Kent and was a real trooper.

They had their wedding at Westridge Golf Club in La Habra. First time

there and it was amazing. The wedding was held outdoors overlooking

a beautiful pond (with koi!) and hills

in the background.

And the reception hall overlooked

the first green and rock pond. Wow!

The only bad thing was the wedding started late

and it was to dark after

the wedding to shoot the reception room view.

One surprise was the sunset

skies were awesome with reddish swirling clouds

so we ran outside and shot

Michelle & Kent in the parking lot.

We had a little time so we wanted a real cool shot

out on the 1st green

with the banquet hall in the background.

This is what we got.

All in all it was a perfect day with good friends,

family and a great wedding party!!!

Michiko & Michael's Wedding Story

Here's an awesome wedding that brought great times and special moments throughout the day. The wedding and reception was held at Castaways. A beautiful place with a wonderful view. Mike & Michiko really did a great job and love was in the air!
Michiko is so sweet and such a beautiful bride. Made it real easy to get great images. Mike is always happy and always making sure everyone is good. They really make a perfect couple and so happy to capture there special day.

Redondo Beach Summer Wedding

I have to thank Scott & Heather for allowing me to capture such a beautiful summer wedding. The weather was perfect and there was a nice breeze coming onshore. Yes! And the bride, Wow! Heather was gorgeous and could have made the Bride's Magazine cover. And Scott was the dashing groom who was more relaxed than the pastor and wedding party. The ceremony and reception was both held at the Redondo Beach Historical Library next to the Redondo Beach pier. Everyone was fantastic and I had a great time with Heather & Scott. Thanks!

Have Pet Will Shoot!

Our newest addition is "Bushy Tail Pet Photography" since I love shooting pets and I own a cocker spaniel named "Mya" and our daughters 2 year old Shiba Inu named "Hero". Hawaiian wedding in Redondo Beach! It was a perfect day and full of fun and laughter. Sheri was stunning and what can I say about William... A perfect match. This wedding had everything you can ask for. Taiko drums were amazing and everyone enjoyed the performance. Especially when William participated and really drummed up a stir. What better way to celebrate the couple's matrimony than Hawaiian style and photography & video by of course, Rainbow! Have to do more of these weddings.

It's hard to keep current on this blog page but I'll try. It was Valerie & DeRan's day and what a day it was! Valerie was beautiful in her strapless wedding gown and with the addition of her man, DeRan it was a perfect day. They made our day easy and hope they love their photographs.

Engagement shoot with muscle!

Last Saturday we had a wonderful engagement shoot with Sheri and William (alias Chris). It was a blast and as you can tell they were good students and posed like pros. After hearing that William was a Karate master I knew we were going to have some fun. I had William hanging, jumping, running, splashing and carrrying Sheri whenever I could. Thanks William for being a good sport. I just couldn't help myself. I'm bad! Anyway, I think they did great and we got some fantastic shots for their wedding. I'm sure William will have me jumping, crawling, and hanging on his wedding day just to get back at me. Sheri you were wonderful too!

It's a Family Affair!

Family portraits are so much fun and I especially love shooting the kids. Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot Betty & Johnny with their two cute girls, Sam 2 years, and Kori 5 years old. The kids were great and on command Sam would look up when my wife held up a graham cracker cookie bear and said, " you want a cookie?". Sam's eyes would light up and look right at us. Kori on the other hand didn't need any guidance or bribing. She was a perfect model and sweet as pie. Thank you to the Liu family for allowing me the opportunity to capture a special family memory for generations to come.

Loving My Wedding Couples!

Here's another couple that makes weddings fun and exciting to shoot. Michael & Judy's wedding was an intimate and small wedding held at a beautiful little chapel in Pasadena and the reception held at the pastors house nearby. What a fun couple and full of life. When I was trying to take a more serious intimate photograph of the couple I made a mistake and told them to look serious which was a mistake as you can see from this photo. They really made me laugh and have a great day. We had a short period of time to shoot the formals with the wedding party and family and accomplished it in less than 15 minutes before the ceremony. Afterward the ceremony I had a chance to capture the couple by themselves. At the pastors house they had this beautiful lushes street with big leafy cascading trees that covered the street like a waterfall. Wow! Couldn't pass that up for a Kodak moment! Michael & Judy, here's to the both of you on a wonderful journey in marraige.

Doug & Tiff's Wedding Day

A couple weeks ago we had possible rain and I had an outdoor wedding to shoot. I had a fantastic couple, awesome location (Rancho Las Lomas) up in the hills of Irvine and 70% chance of rain. The rain started about 1/2 hr. before the ceremony. As you can tell it didn't bother Doug or Tiffany one bit! What a great couple to take it in stride and make the best of their wedding day. We had fun shooting candids with an umbrella. We really needed it though.

I was really looking forward to shooting some awesome photos at this photographers dream location and thought with the rain it was going to be impossible. I didn't panic. I was able to find locations where I could still capture photos that they would love. I don't think this wouldn't have been possible if not for my 27 years experience and creative manner. The wedding day was perfect and everyone had a great time!

Fun Wedding Day

Last week we had a wedding that made being a wedding photographer/videographer worth it. We not only had a great couple that was easy to work for but their family and guests were great also! Jing (the bride) & Edwin (the groom) allowed me the chance to capture their special moments they'll remember for a lifetime. Jing's Maid of Honor, Wakako and Sharon ( Jing's bridesmaid) really did a great job in making sure Jing was prepped properly and made her feel like a princess. Good job Wakako & Sharon! And to prove they did their job I have photos of it! I can hardly wait to design their wedding album mostly due to a fun and exciting day.
